About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Process Improvement Engineer to join their team in Cambridge . This role is focused on analyzing existing manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and implementing solutions to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. You will be a key driver of operational excellence, working within a hybrid model that balances on-site analysis with flexible remote collaboration. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement process improvements using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Lead cross-functional teams in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
- Develop and document new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Track and measure the impact of implemented changes on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide training and guidance to operational staff on new processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical) or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Process Improvement Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with process mapping tools, statistical software, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with teams both on-site and remotely.
