About the Role
Our client seeks a proactive and analytical Process Improvement Engineer to enhance operational efficiency within their manufacturing facility in Leeds . This role is central to identifying and implementing strategies that reduce waste, improve throughput, and elevate product quality. You will work closely with production teams, management, and other stakeholders to drive lean initiatives and foster a culture of continuous operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
- Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement standardized work procedures and best practices across production lines.
- Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, statistical process control) to solve complex problems.
- Train and coach employees on lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving techniques.
- Track the impact of implemented improvements and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in process improvement roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban).
- Experience with data analysis and performance metrics tracking.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is highly desirable.
