Process Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Process Improvement Engineer to join their team based in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . This role is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and productivity across the company's diverse business units. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process enhancements, designing and implementing solutions, and measuring their impact. Working closely with department heads and operational staff, you will drive change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new methodologies. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing workflows and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
• Develop and implement process improvement strategies using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Design and document new process flows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of implemented changes, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a process improvement or industrial engineering role.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma (Green Belt certification preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in process mapping software and data analysis tools.
