Process Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Improvement Engineer to join their manufacturing team in Coventry . This role is crucial for driving operational excellence by analyzing existing workflows, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing sustainable solutions. You will work closely with production staff and management to foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that our client maintains a competitive edge through optimized processes and reduced waste. This hybrid position offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing for a balanced approach to improving our facility's output.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, root causes of problems, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality.
• Design and implement workplace organizational systems such as 5S.
• Train production staff on new processes and best practices.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of implemented process changes.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in process improvement or operations.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
• Experience with data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
• Effective communication skills for training and collaboration across different levels.
