About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Improvement Engineer to drive operational excellence within their facilities in Coventry . This role focuses on enhancing productivity, reducing waste, and improving the overall quality of manufacturing processes through the application of advanced engineering techniques. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma .
- Develop, implement, and monitor new process standards and procedures to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in Kaizen events and process mapping workshops.
- Analyze production data to identify root causes of defects or inefficiencies and propose corrective actions.
- Design and conduct experiments to test and validate process improvements before full-scale implementation.
- Train operational staff on new processes, tools, and methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a process improvement or industrial engineering role, with a focus on manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding and practical application of Lean Manufacturing principles and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques, including Minitab or similar software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive change within an organization.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
