Process Improvement Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Improvement Specialist to join their manufacturing team, working remotely with potential occasional travel to their facilities near Cambridge . This role is instrumental in analysing current manufacturing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall quality. You will collaborate with various departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives using established methodologies. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and proactive individual to make a substantial impact on operational effectiveness within a forward-thinking organisation, contributing expertise in process optimisation from a remote base.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement strategies and projects using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Document process changes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.
• Train and mentor employees on process improvement tools and techniques.
• Measure and report on the impact of implemented process changes on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in process improvement , operational excellence, or a similar role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and change management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders remotely.
