Process Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Process Industrial Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Milton Keynes . This role is central to improving the efficiency, productivity, and quality of our production processes through the application of engineering principles and best practices. You will be involved in detailed analysis of workflows, implementation of improvements, and supporting the operational team in achieving their targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that our operations in Buckinghamshire remain at the forefront of industry standards. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production data and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for process optimization.
• Design, test, and implement improved manufacturing processes, equipment layouts, and material flow systems.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work times and evaluate operator efficiency.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for new and existing processes.
• Support the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kanban, and value stream mapping.
• Collaborate with production supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams to resolve process-related issues and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering or process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Experience with process simulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
• Proficiency in using CAD software for layout design and process documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
