Process Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Process Industrial Engineer to drive efficiency and innovation within their production facilities in Cambridge . This role focuses on analyzing, designing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and maintain the highest quality standards. You will work closely with production teams to implement best practices and leverage your expertise in industrial engineering methodologies. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Design, develop, and implement new processes and workflows utilizing lean manufacturing principles and other optimization techniques.
• Conduct time and motion studies, value stream mapping, and other analytical tools to improve workflow.
• Collaborate with production staff, quality control, and management to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Measure and report on the performance of implemented process changes against set KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in an Industrial Engineering role, with a focus on process analysis and improvement.
• Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma basics, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Minitab, or similar software.
• Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and engage with operators in Cambridge .
