Process Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Process Industrial Engineer to join their operational team in Leeds . This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing and assembly lines. You will be responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing sustainable solutions that align with lean manufacturing principles. Working within a hybrid model, you will balance hands-on analysis on-site with remote data analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong analytical capabilities, and is passionate about driving tangible improvements in operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and potential cost savings.
• Develop and implement process improvements using methodologies such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including flowcharts, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Conduct time studies and motion studies to optimize workstation design and workflow.
• Collaborate with production teams to train personnel on new processes and ensure smooth implementation.
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment or technologies to enhance productivity and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in an industrial engineering or process engineering role.
• Solid understanding and practical application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Experience with process simulation and statistical analysis software.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
