About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Process Optimization Engineer for a fully remote position. You will work collaboratively with on-site operations teams, providing remote expertise and developing strategies for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze process data using statistical tools and software to identify areas for improvement in yield, energy consumption, and throughput.
- Develop and implement advanced process control (APC) strategies to optimize operating conditions.
- Utilize simulation software to model process changes and predict their impact on performance.
- Collaborate remotely with plant engineers and operators to diagnose and resolve process issues.
- Develop and document best practices for process operation and optimization.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on optimization initiatives and their outcomes.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on process optimization and data analysis.
- Expertise in statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and data mining techniques.
- Proficiency with process simulation and modeling software (e.g., Aspen Plus, MATLAB).
- Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver measurable results in a remote setting .
