About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Process Optimization Engineer to join their team in Norwich . This role is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of existing chemical manufacturing processes. You will utilize advanced analytical techniques and problem-solving methodologies to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze process data using statistical tools and simulation software to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, focusing on yield improvement, energy reduction, and waste minimization.
- Design and execute experiments to test and validate optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to implement process changes effectively.
- Ensure all implemented changes adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Document findings, recommendations, and implemented solutions thoroughly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on optimization and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DoE).
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, Chemcad).
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
