Process Safety Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP studies, to identify and assess risks associated with chemical processes.
• Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and safety procedures.
• Review Management of Change (MOC) proposals to ensure safety considerations are addressed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant process safety regulations and industry standards.
• Investigate safety incidents, near misses, and deviations, recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver process safety training programs to plant personnel.
• Maintain process safety information and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in process safety engineering.
• Proficiency in conducting PHAs and other risk assessment techniques.
• Familiarity with process safety management systems and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, effective in coordinating safety initiatives in a hybrid work setting.
