Process Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) systems and programs.
• Conduct comprehensive Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA studies.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards for process safety.
• Develop and deliver process safety training programs to operational staff.
• Perform safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety procedures and best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety within the Oil & Gas or chemical industries .
• In-depth knowledge of HAZOP, LOPA , and other risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and functional safety standards (IEC 61511).
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices for process safety.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
