About the Role
Our client is looking for an organised and detail-oriented Procurement Administrator to support their procurement function in Derby . This hybrid role is essential for the smooth day-to-day running of the purchasing department, ensuring all administrative tasks are handled efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for processing purchase orders, maintaining records, liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and supporting the wider procurement team. Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and raise purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain procurement records, including supplier information, pricing, and contracts.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery dates, and resolve basic queries.
- Support buyers and procurement managers with data entry and report generation.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Handle incoming procurement-related correspondence and inquiries.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the purchasing department through effective administrative support.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a procurement or purchasing department.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues and suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
