Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing department in Norwich . This role will focus on providing critical insights and support to the procurement team through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in optimising spending, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and enhancing the efficiency of procurement operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong analytical skills to contribute to strategic decision-making within the company, based in our Norwich office.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse procurement data to identify trends, savings opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain regular procurement reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Support the negotiation process by providing market intelligence and cost analysis.
• Assist in the management of supplier contracts and ensure compliance with terms.
• Identify and recommend process improvements within the procurement function.
• Collaborate with finance and other departments to ensure data accuracy and alignment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an analytical role, preferably within procurement or finance.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel (advanced), SQL, or similar.
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of purchasing principles and supply chain processes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities, able to work in a hybrid model from Norwich .
