Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a data-driven and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing team in Norwich . This role is crucial for providing insights and support to optimise procurement strategies and performance. You will be responsible for analysing spending data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, tracking supplier performance, and supporting contract negotiations. Key Responsibilities

• Analyse procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
• Develop and maintain reports on spend analysis, supplier performance, and market intelligence.
• Support the procurement team in developing sourcing strategies and conducting supplier evaluations.
• Assist in the negotiation process by providing relevant data and market insights.
• Monitor contract compliance and performance, highlighting any deviations or risks.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate data and financial reporting related to procurement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an analytical role, preferably within procurement or finance.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or BI software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Good understanding of procurement principles and supply chain management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field is advantageous.
