Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for an analytical and data-driven Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing team, working from a remote location. This role is essential for supporting strategic sourcing initiatives through in-depth data analysis, market intelligence gathering, and performance monitoring. You will play a key part in identifying cost-saving opportunities, evaluating supplier performance, and providing insights to the procurement leadership. This position requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical capabilities and excellent communication skills, comfortable working independently and collaborating with team members across different locations. We aim to enhance our procurement efficiency through data-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Conduct market research and supplier analysis to support strategic sourcing decisions.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards for procurement and supplier performance.
• Assist in the preparation of bid packages, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
• Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and service level agreements.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management on procurement activities and findings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an analytical role, preferably within procurement or supply chain.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel (advanced functions, PivotTables), SQL, and ideally BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Experience with procurement processes and terminology.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, suitable for a remote role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
