Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven Procurement Analyst to enhance their procurement operations in Portsmouth . This analytical role will focus on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize supplier performance, and improve overall sourcing efficiency. You will work closely with the procurement team and other departments to provide insights that support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and report on procurement data, including spend, supplier performance, and contract compliance.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the supply chain through data analysis.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key procurement metrics (KPIs).
• Support the procurement team in sourcing activities by providing market intelligence and cost analysis.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost-reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure the effective use of procurement systems and tools.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst , data analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with procurement processes and supply chain concepts.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
• Effective communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
