Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and organised Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing department in Derby . This hybrid role will focus on providing critical data analysis, market intelligence, and strategic support to the procurement team. You will play a key role in identifying cost-saving opportunities, evaluating supplier performance, and supporting the development of procurement strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Analyse spend data to identify trends, opportunities for cost reduction, and process improvements.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform sourcing strategies.
• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and performance reports.
• Support the negotiation process by providing relevant data and insights.
• Evaluate supplier performance metrics and assist in supplier relationship management.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a procurement , analysis , or purchasing support role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
• Experience working in a hybrid or flexible work environment.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• A degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field is desirable.
