About the Role

Our client, a reputable manufacturing firm in Derby , is looking for a data-driven Procurement Analyst to support their purchasing department. This role is critical for providing insights into spending patterns, supplier performance, and market trends to inform strategic sourcing decisions. You will be responsible for data collection, analysis, and reporting, playing a key role in identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing the procurement process. This position is based at their Derby facility, offering a stable and structured work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data, including spend, supplier performance, and market intelligence.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key procurement metrics.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.
• Support buyers and category managers with data-driven insights for sourcing activities and negotiations.
• Assist in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring processes.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a procurement , finance, or data analysis role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
• Experience with procurement software or ERP systems is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets.
• Good communication skills to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• A degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a quantitative field is preferred.
