Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing team in Oxford . This role is focused on providing critical insights into spend data, market trends, and supplier performance to support strategic sourcing decisions. You will play a key role in identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimising supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficiency of procurement processes. Key Responsibilities

• Analyse spend data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform sourcing strategies.
• Support the procurement team in supplier evaluation, selection, and performance management activities.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract review processes for purchasing initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a procurement or analytical role, with strong data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in using data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
