Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Procurement Analyst to support their purchasing operations in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for analyzing spend data, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting the procurement team in various sourcing activities. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data, including spend, supplier performance, and market trends.
• Develop reports and dashboards to visualize key procurement metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Support the procurement team in sourcing activities, including preparing RFQs, RFPs, and contract analysis.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and service level agreements, flagging any deviations.
• Assist in the maintenance of the supplier database and ensure data accuracy.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending process improvements.

Requirements

• Experience in a data analysis or analytical role, preferably within a procurement or supply chain context.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and terminology is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
