Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their procurement team in Plymouth . This role is instrumental in providing data-driven insights to support strategic sourcing decisions and optimize procurement processes. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on spend data, supplier performance, and market trends. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, cleanse, and analyze procurement spend data from various sources.
• Develop reports and dashboards to visualize spend patterns, cost drivers, and savings opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance against key metrics and contractual obligations.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market dynamics.
• Support the procurement team in the preparation of RFPs, bid evaluations, and contract reviews.
• Identify and recommend process improvements within the procurement function.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within a procurement or finance context.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles and supply chain concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related analytical field.
