Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing team in Plymouth . This role is pivotal in supporting procurement activities through data analysis, market intelligence, and process improvement. You will work closely with buyers and category managers to identify cost-saving opportunities, assess supplier performance, and ensure the efficiency of the procurement function. This hybrid position offers a great opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making and gain exposure to various aspects of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop reports and dashboards to track key procurement metrics (e.g., spend, savings, supplier performance).
• Conduct market research to provide insights on pricing, supplier capabilities, and industry trends.
• Support sourcing events and negotiation processes with relevant data and analysis.
• Assist in managing supplier performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of procurement policies and procedures.
• Support the implementation of procurement technologies and systems.

Requirements

• Experience in an analytical role, preferably within procurement or finance.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
• Good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
