About the Role
Our client is seeking a data-driven Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing team, working a hybrid model from Portsmouth . This analytical role focuses on optimising procurement processes through data insights, cost analysis, and performance tracking. You will support strategic sourcing initiatives, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide essential reporting to stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for a quantitative professional to contribute significantly to the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's supply chain operations, blending in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for procurement process improvement.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports for key procurement metrics and supplier performance.
- Support the procurement team in supplier evaluation, selection, and negotiation processes through data-driven insights.
- Monitor market trends and pricing to provide intelligence that informs sourcing strategies.
- Assist in the development and management of procurement policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure data accuracy and support budget forecasting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an analytical role, ideally within procurement, finance, or supply chain.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), SQL, and ideally BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of procurement principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
