Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing department in Glasgow . This role is crucial for supporting strategic sourcing decisions, optimizing procurement processes, and driving cost efficiencies through data-driven insights. You will be responsible for analyzing spend data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting the procurement team in contract negotiations and supplier management. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze organizational spend data to identify trends, opportunities for consolidation, and cost savings.
• Develop and maintain spend reports and dashboards to provide visibility into procurement activities.
• Support the procurement team in sourcing activities, including market research and supplier analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and contribute to supplier relationship management activities.
• Support the implementation and utilization of procurement systems and tools to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an analytical role, preferably within procurement or finance.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related analytical field.
