Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven Procurement Analyst to join their fully remote procurement team. This role is central to optimizing our purchasing processes through insightful data analysis and reporting. You will be responsible for tracking spending, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives by providing robust analytical insights. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for procurement leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze spend data to identify trends, opportunities for consolidation, and cost-saving initiatives across various spend categories.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards on procurement performance, supplier metrics, and budget adherence.
• Support the procurement team in sourcing activities by providing market intelligence, cost analysis, and supplier performance data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement function and report on progress against targets.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure accuracy of financial data related to procurement activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a procurement analyst , data analyst, or similar role with a focus on purchasing data.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes and terminology.
• Effective communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
