Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and organized Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing team in Reading . This role is critical for providing data-driven insights and support to the procurement function, enabling informed decision-making and driving efficiencies across spend categories. You will be responsible for analysing procurement data, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. This hybrid position allows for a mix of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, ensuring you can contribute effectively to the team's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, and interpret procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support the sourcing team in conducting market research and supplier analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of RFQs, RFPs, and tenders, and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contract terms.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives by identifying areas for efficiency improvements and spend reduction.

Requirements

• Experience (2+ years) in a procurement , data analysis, or supply chain role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data manipulation and interpretation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; experience with BI tools is a plus.
• Understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
