Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing team in Glasgow . This role is essential for providing data-driven insights and support to the procurement function, enabling informed decision-making and process improvements. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting on spend data, supplier performance, and market trends. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a desire to contribute to the optimization of our client's procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement and spend data from various sources.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on key procurement metrics (e.g., spend analysis, savings tracking).
• Monitor supplier performance against contracts and service level agreements.
• Assist in market research to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and emerging trends.
• Support the procurement team with ad-hoc analysis and project work.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity within procurement systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a procurement analysis, data analysis, or financial analysis role.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables).
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of procurement principles and supply chain concepts.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
