Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a data-driven Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role will focus on analysing procurement data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting strategic decision-making within the supply chain. You will be responsible for developing reports, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes. This hybrid position offers a balanced approach, allowing for both collaborative office work in Wolverhampton and the flexibility of remote working.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse spend data to identify trends, opportunities for cost reduction, and supplier consolidation.
• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and performance reports.
• Monitor and track key procurement KPIs, providing insights and recommendations.
• Support the negotiation process by providing market intelligence and cost analysis.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
• Identify and assess risks within the supply chain and propose mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst or in a similar analytical role within procurement.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
• Experience with procurement systems and ERP software.
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
• Understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
