Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their procurement department in Nottingham . This role is critical in providing insights and support for strategic sourcing and procurement operations. You will be responsible for analyzing spend data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, evaluating supplier performance, and contributing to the development of procurement strategies. This position offers the chance to work with large datasets, develop complex reports, and play a key role in driving efficiency and value across the supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of procurement best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze spend data to identify trends, savings opportunities, and areas for procurement optimization.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance and procurement efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of business cases and financial models for sourcing initiatives.
• Support the procurement team in negotiating contracts by providing relevant market data and analysis.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance, identifying risks and areas for improvement.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst or in a similar analytical role within procurement or supply chain.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
• Experience with spend analysis and supplier performance management methodologies.
• Good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain dynamics.
• Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative field.
