About the Role
Our client is seeking a data-driven Procurement Analyst to join their established purchasing team in Cambridge . This role focuses on providing critical analytical support to the procurement function, driving cost savings and process improvements through data insights. You will be responsible for analyzing spend data, identifying trends, supporting negotiations with market intelligence, and managing key performance indicators. This is an ideal role for an individual with strong analytical skills who thrives on using data to influence strategic decisions within a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze organizational spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support category managers and buyers in supplier negotiations with market intelligence and cost analysis.
- Monitor industry trends, supplier performance, and risk factors impacting the supply chain.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and best practices.
- Contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives by providing detailed analytical insights.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst or in a similar analytical role within procurement or supply chain.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and contract management.
- Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in Cambridge .
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement software is advantageous.
