Client Details

Our client is one of the UK's largest affordable housing providers, supporting hundreds of thousands of customers across England and delivering thousands of new homes each year. Driven by a strong social purpose, the organisation is committed to providing safe, affordable homes while investing in the communities it serves. With a people-focused approach, it works in partnership with residents, local stakeholders and colleagues to create thriving, sustainable places where individuals and families can prosper. The organisation combines large-scale ambition with a strong commitment to customer service, innovation and long-term social impact

Description

The role sits within Procurement Compliance & Performance and has a strong governance, compliance, and assurance focus. It will include providing practical procurement advice across the business; supporting below-threshold activity; advising on appropriate routes, waivers, approvals and governance; supplier onboarding and due diligence; Procurement Act 2023 and transparency requirements; supporting contract management best practice; audit and assurance activity; and helping us to develop and embed procurement systems, processes, templates and guidance.

Profile

From a candidate perspective, I'm looking for someone who is proactive, organised and solutions-focused, with strong attention to detail and the confidence to engage with stakeholders, provide practical advice and appropriately challenge where required. Public sector procurement experience, a good working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and experience of procurement governance/audit and assurance are particularly important.

Housing experience, CIPS and experience of specific procurement systems would be advantageous rather than essential.
