About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Procurement Lead to manage the sourcing of Raw Materials in Bristol . This senior role is instrumental in securing high-quality raw materials at competitive prices, ensuring supply chain continuity, and driving cost efficiencies for the manufacturing operations. You will lead a team, develop global sourcing strategies, and manage complex supplier relationships. This is a challenging leadership opportunity for a procurement professional to significantly influence the company's cost base and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies for key raw materials , ensuring supply security and cost optimization.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Negotiate complex, long-term contracts with international suppliers, focusing on pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the raw material supply base.
- Manage supplier relationships at a senior level, conducting performance reviews and driving collaborative initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, ethical sourcing practices, and company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on raw materials .
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing global sourcing strategies and achieving significant cost savings.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience managing complex international supply chains and mitigating supply risks.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS) are a plus.
