Job Description
A leading defence organisation are looking for two proven Procurement Manager's to join a high-performing team responsible for managing critical supplier relationships, commercial negotiations and procurement activities across complex engineering programmes.
Role: Procurement Manager (x2) Duration: 9-month contract Pay: Up to £45 p/hr (Inside IR35 via Umbrella) Location: Stevenage or Bristol Working Pattern: 3 days onsiteYou'll be responsible for managing supplier relationships, commercial negotiations and procurement activities across a portfolio of engineering and manufacturing suppliers, ensuring cost, quality and delivery objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance. Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, terms and contractual agreements. Support sourcing and procurement activities across engineering and manufacturing programmes. Manage supplier risks, mitigation plans and escalation activities. Drive cost reduction and value improvement initiatives. Ensure supplier delivery performance meets programme requirements. Work closely with internal stakeholders across Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations. Support commercial reviews, procurement governance and contract management activities. Identify opportunities for supplier improvement and supply chain optimisation.Working closely with programme, engineering, quality and supply chain stakeholders, you'll play a key role in ensuring continuity of supply, supplier performance and commercial value delivery across major programmes.
Key Requirements:
SC Cleared or eligible to obtain clearance Defence, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Engineering experience Proven supplier relationship management expertise Third party licensing experience Commercial negotiation capability and solid contract management experience Proven risk management and supplier development expertise ERP systems experience (SAP preferred) Experience working within regulated or complex project environments Experience managing European or global suppliers Potential travel to EuropeIf you're a procurement professional with experience managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and supporting complex engineering or defence programmes, apply now
