About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Procurement Officer to join their team in Bristol . This role is instrumental in managing the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring value for money, and maintaining high standards of quality and supply reliability. You will be responsible for the full procurement cycle for specific categories, from identifying needs and sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing performance. Working within a collaborative team, you will help shape procurement strategies and foster strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement process for assigned goods and services, from initial request through to contract completion.
- Conduct market analysis and identify potential new suppliers to ensure competitive sourcing.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide procurement support.
Requirements
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
