About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Procurement Officer to join their team in Bristol , operating under a hybrid work model. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day procurement activities, including sourcing goods and services, negotiating prices, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role requires a good understanding of procurement processes and the ability to build effective relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full procurement cycle for assigned goods and services, from requisition to order placement.
- Source suppliers, obtain quotes, and negotiate competitive pricing and terms.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or service.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs and provide timely procurement support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and negotiation techniques.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
