Procurement Specialist - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and strategic Procurement Specialist to join their vital procurement team in Bristol . This hybrid role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the supply of raw materials and packaging for their extensive FMCG product lines. You will play a critical role in ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability of the supply chain, contributing directly to the company's bottom line and operational efficiency. Working within a dedicated team, you will leverage market insights and supplier relationships to secure competitive advantages for the business in the highly demanding FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and source high-quality suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging essential for FMCG production.
• Negotiate favourable contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize value.
• Conduct market analysis to stay informed about pricing trends, supplier capabilities, and potential risks.
• Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and ensure compliance with quality and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including R&D, Production, and Finance, to understand procurement needs and forecast demand.
• Support the implementation of procurement best practices and contribute to the development of strategic sourcing initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
