Procurement Specialist - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing and purchasing activities within the FMCG sector, operating on a fully remote basis. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials, packaging, and services critical to our client's operations. You will be responsible for supplier relationship management, negotiation, and driving value throughout the procurement process. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for raw materials, packaging, and indirect services within the FMCG supply chain.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards and ethical sourcing practices.
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers to achieve best value, quality, and delivery terms.
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers.
• Analyze market trends and commodity prices to inform sourcing strategies and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Procurement or Sourcing role, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing industries.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Solid understanding of procurement best practices and contract management.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is advantageous.
