Procurement Specialist - Indirect Services

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist with expertise in Indirect Services to join their purchasing team in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring best value is achieved for the organisation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing and procurement process for indirect services, including developing specifications and tender documents.
• Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management for services such as IT, HR, and facilities.
• Develop and implement category strategies to optimise spend and drive value for indirect procurement.
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively address any service delivery issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure procurement alignment.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical sourcing, and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or Buyer, with a strong focus on indirect categories.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating and managing service contracts.
• Excellent understanding of procurement best practices, risk management, and value optimisation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
• A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., CIPS) is advantageous.
