Procurement Specialist - Indirect Spend

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Procurement Specialist focused on Indirect Spend to join their purchasing department in Liverpool . This role is essential for managing the procurement of all non-operational goods and services, including IT, marketing, HR, and facilities. You will be responsible for driving cost savings, ensuring value for money, and managing supplier relationships within these diverse categories. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of best practices in indirect procurement, contributing significantly to the organisation's efficiency and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect categories, including IT, marketing, travel, and facilities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost reductions and improve service levels for indirect spend.
• Conduct thorough market analysis and supplier research to identify potential new partners and opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing with suppliers to secure optimal terms.
• Monitor supplier performance, address issues, and foster strong, collaborative relationships.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and all relevant regulations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement , with a significant focus on indirect spend categories.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and categories simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in drafting and managing contracts for services.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across various departments.
