About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Procurement Specialist to join their procurement team. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be instrumental in managing sourcing activities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services that support the company's operational needs. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently, contributing to cost savings and process improvements across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end sourcing processes , including supplier identification, evaluation, and selection.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Develop and implement effective category strategies for assigned spend areas.
- Administer and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide expert advice.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process efficiencies within the procurement function.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar sourcing role.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices and contract management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work remotely effectively.
- Proficiency in procurement software and e-sourcing platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
