About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Procurement Specialist to join their operations team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is integral to ensuring the cost-effective and efficient sourcing of raw materials and finished goods for their FMCG products. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing procurement processes. Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, packaging, and other goods and services according to quality and cost requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse base of suppliers.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contract conditions with suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure competitive sourcing.
• Manage procurement processes, including order placement, tracking, and invoice reconciliation.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency within the procurement function.

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain and sourcing principles.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
