Product Cleaner (Weekends)

Product Cleaner (Weekends) Castle Donington, Derbyshire

Are you ready to embark on a career with a company that places both its employees and customers at the heart of everything we do? If you're a motivated, customer-focused individual with a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you.

You’ll fit in well with us at Medstrom, where we have disrupted the market by providing proven and well-evidenced products and services to our busy customers, helping to make a real difference to both their workload and, crucially, their patients’ outcomes.

Established in 2010, Medstrom has grown substantially by being patient-focused to become the organisation we are today, whilst maintaining an open culture and ethos. In 2022, Medstrom became an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), unlike any other company in the industry. This allows each employee to have a vested interest in the company, where we can all contribute to and share in the company’s success.

We’re now looking for a Product Cleaner to join our Logistics team in Castle Donington on a part-time, permanent basis, working Saturday and Sunday.

The Benefits

• Starting rate of £12.71 an hour (15 hours a week)
• Contributory Pension scheme
• Discounts and cashback on shopping, supermarkets and holidays as part of our rewards scheme
• Excellent annual leave entitlement
• Full Induction with great training and support from dedicated team members
• Receive a treat on your birthday
• Death in Service benefit provided
• Be a part of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) and the associated benefits of having a stake in the company

Your Role

As a weekend Product Cleaner, you will clean, maintain, and support the delivery of our products to customers, based within our service hub in Castle Donington.

Whilst adhering to established quality processes, you’ll clean and test products, ensuring they are ready for use, providing a high level of service to our internal technicians who will install products at customer sites.

Specifically, you will be:

• Cleaning, testing, and repairing products (hospital beds and mattresses) and making them ready for use
• Keeping an inventory of products and spare parts
• Ensuring compliance with quality processes, both internal and external
• Meeting daily product preparation targets
• Delivering a timely and appropriate service to the field technicians
• Completing and recording electrical safety testing on products during tasks; you will be fully trained
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the workplace
• Completing daily/weekly activity reports
• Updating relevant IT systems

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, working Saturday and Sunday 6am - 2.30pm (15 hours).

About You

To be considered as a Product Cleaner, you will need:

• Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules would be an advantage, but is not essential
• Basic PC skills, including email and MS Office
• A full driving licence would be an advantage to support the wider team, but it is not essential as this role is site-based
• Electrical safety testing qualification or certificate would be equally desirable, but is not essential, as full training will be provided

Personal Requirements:

• The ability to work on your own initiative and follow procedures laid out by the business to achieve deadlines
• A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude with a flexible outlook

Please note, this role will involve manual duties (lifting, carrying, pushing).

In addition to the salary and related benefits, you will join a company that has grown extensively within the last five years and, through our unique ownership model, is continuing to grow, whilst offering great career opportunities for those who are keen to progress.
