Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test new mechanical products, ensuring they meet all functional, aesthetic, and performance requirements.
- Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using industry-standard CAD software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, electronics engineers, and supply chain specialists, throughout the product development process.
- Conduct comprehensive prototype testing , performance validation, and failure analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain product documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues encountered during manufacturing or in the field.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering , Product Design, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in product development and mechanical design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Inventor.
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining) and various manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with product testing methodologies and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for ensuring product quality and reliability in Milton Keynes .
