About the Role
Our client seeks an innovative and experienced Product Development Scientist to join their dynamic R&D team in Bradford . This hybrid role combines hands-on laboratory work with strategic remote planning and analysis, focusing on creating cutting-edge products for the FMCG sector. You will be at the forefront of product innovation, translating consumer needs and market trends into successful new formulations and product enhancements. This is a crucial position for a scientist passionate about bringing novel consumer goods to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of new FMCG products, from concept generation to final commercialization.
- Conduct laboratory research, formulation development, and product testing to ensure quality, safety, and efficacy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and regulatory affairs, throughout the product lifecycle.
- Optimize existing product formulations to improve performance, cost-effectiveness, or sustainability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new ingredients, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in product development.
Requirements
- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in product development , specifically within the FMCG industry .
- Hands-on experience with formulation, product testing, and scale-up processes.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards in the food or consumer goods sector.
- Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment and manage remote-based project coordination tasks.
