Our client is seeking an innovative and skilled Product Development Scientist to join their R&D team in Liverpool , specializing in the FMCG sector. You will conduct laboratory experiments, analyze results, and collaborate with marketing and production teams to bring new products to market. Key Responsibilities
- Develop new product formulations and optimize existing ones to meet performance and cost targets.
- Conduct laboratory experiments, pilot trials, and sensory evaluations to assess product viability.
- Analyze product data and provide technical recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure all product development activities comply with quality standards, food safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, procurement, and manufacturing, throughout the product lifecycle.
- Document research findings and maintain detailed records of experiments and formulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development within the FMCG industry , preferably in food or beverage.
- Strong understanding of formulation science, ingredient functionality, and processing techniques.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
