About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Product Development Scientist to join their research and development team, operating remotely. This role is instrumental in creating and refining new and existing FMCG products, ensuring they meet consumer needs and quality standards. You will be involved in all stages of the product lifecycle, from ideation and formulation to testing and scale-up. This is an exceptional opportunity for a scientific professional to contribute to cutting-edge product innovation within the fast-moving consumer goods industry from their home office.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research and development to create new FMCG products and improve existing formulations.
Perform laboratory experiments, testing, and analysis to evaluate product performance and stability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, procurement, and manufacturing, to ensure successful product launches.
Develop and implement appropriate testing protocols and quality control measures.
Document all research findings, experimental procedures, and product specifications.
Stay abreast of industry trends, new ingredients, and scientific advancements relevant to product development.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
Proven experience in product development , preferably within the FMCG sector .
Strong laboratory skills and experience with analytical techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in product formulation.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
