About the Role
Our client is looking for a results-oriented Production Operations Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting onshore and offshore operations related to the Portsmouth area. This role is crucial for optimizing hydrocarbon production, ensuring asset integrity, and maintaining efficient operations. You will be responsible for monitoring production systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing solutions to maximize output and minimize downtime. The role demands a proactive approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with field teams and management from a remote location, driving operational excellence in the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production performance and identify areas for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Analyze production data to diagnose operational problems and develop corrective actions.
- Implement and manage artificial lift systems and other production enhancement techniques.
- Oversee the maintenance and integrity of production equipment and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with reservoir engineers, drilling teams, and maintenance personnel to coordinate activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in production operations or a similar role within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Strong understanding of production systems, equipment, and surface facilities.
- Experience with production optimization software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote setting.
