About You
- Experience within a textile environment operating industrial machinery such as presses and/or digital cutting equipment
- Experience handling sheet, fabric, laminate or composite materials, with a strong focus on precision, repeatability and minimising waste
- Able to interpret work instructions, specifications, drawings, templates and production paperwork
- Comfortable working with controlled documents and traceability requirements
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety, quality and traceability
- Able to work accurately to specifications, tolerances and cut patterns
- Competent using measurement and inspection equipment
About the role
- A key part of the role will be setting up and operating industrial press machinery, including pre-start checks, tooling and fixture changes, parameter verification and safe start-up and shutdown
- You’ll set up and operate digital cutting machinery
- You’ll prepare and load production materials in line with work instructions, ensuring correct lay-up, alignment and batch identification
- You’ll monitor machine performance and product quality, responding to alarms and process deviations and escalating issues when required
- You’ll carry out in-process and final inspections, checking dimensions, edge quality, defects and overall product quality using appropriate measuring equipment
- Maintaining accurate product and material traceability will be an important part of the role, including labelling, identification, batch records and controlled documentation
- You’ll carry out routine autonomous maintenance including cleaning, inspection, lubrication and tightening
- This is a hands-on role involving regular manual handling, including the safe lifting and carrying of heavy goods with appropriate training and equipment provided.
